Previously On Jujutsu Kaisen Season 5
Toji shoots and kills Riko in front of Suguru, who is devastated. Toji reveals that he killed Satoru Gojo, a powerful sorcerer. They fight, and Toji proves to be extremely fast and skilled. Suguru summons a cursed spirit to block Toji's bullets and tries to attack him from below but fails.
Toji explains how he can move through barriers using his senses and cursed tools. Suguru asks how Toji found them without leaving any cursed energy behind, and Toji reveals he tracked them using footprints and scents. Suguru is furious and sends his cursed spirit, Rainbow Dragon, after Toji, but Toji easily defeats it.
They continue to fight, and Toji gets the upper hand. He spares Suguru's life because he doesn't want the cursed spirits Suguru absorbed to die with him. Toji meets with the Time Vessel Association representative, who is satisfied with the assassination but reveals they never intended to prevent the merger.
Toji encounters Satoru Gojo, who miraculously returns from the dead. Satoru is drunk with power and overconfident. They fight, and Satoru uses a powerful technique to defeat Toji. Toji realizes he lost sight of who he was and admits defeat.
Later, Suguru finds Toji's cursed spirit and absorbs it. He meets with Satoru and is surprised by his change in behavior. Satoru takes responsibility for Riko's death and questions whether they should kill non-sorcerers celebrating her demise. Suguru believes there must always be a point to their actions as jujutsu sorcerers.
