Jujutsu Kaisen: Is Toji Fushiguro Dead?

Toji Fushiguro is really a menace and a one-man army. He proved that the strongest Jujutsu High students are definitely no match for him. There is absolutely no reason to hate him except for his evil intentions. He definitely deserves to be recognized for his over-the-top physical prowess.

Now, episode 28 ended with Gojo proving why he is the strongest by totally obliterating him. And now, the episode ended on a cliffhanger, when Gojo asks Toji for his last words. Here, the question arises, is Toji Fushiguro dead in Jujutsu Kaisen?

What Happened In Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 28?

As Toji leaves the Time Vessel Association, he unexpectedly encounters a restored Satoru Gojo, whom he thought he had killed not long ago. Satoru reveals that he used a reverse cursed technique to heal himself and taunts Toji for not finishing him off properly. However, using this technique has taken a toll on Satoru's brain, making him act delirious and crazed.

Toji takes out a powerful weapon called the Inverted Spear of Heaven, and Satoru gets excited, agreeing that the battle has just begun. Toji tries to attack Satoru, but he manages to dodge and counter with a new technique that combines two powerful powers, Cursed Technique Reversal: Red. The attack sends Toji flying, but he remains confident that he can handle Satoru's abilities.

Toji senses an uneasiness within himself as Satoru levitates above him with a menacing grin. Despite having plans to deal with Satoru's techniques, Toji feels uncertain. He swings the chain of his weapon at Satoru, who uses a deadly technique called Hollow Technique: Purple to fatally wound Toji.

Before dying, Toji realizes that his arrogance and desire to crush Satoru made him lose sight of himself. He should have stuck to his principles, but instead, he deviated from his true self and ultimately lost the fight. He reveals to Satoru that his son, Megumi, will be sold to the Zenin family in the future.

Is Toji Fushiguro Dead In Jujutsu Kaisen?

The Sorcerer Killer has now been killed by our beloved Satoru Gojo. Although it was hard to see such a strong character die because he could have added such interesting aspects to the story, there is no denying that he deserved to die.

His last words showed that even the most cruel of people also have some compassion. He wanted his son, Megumi Fushiguro to be saved and made a strong Sorcerer, but there is no way he could have asked this favor from Gojo.

Hence, to conclude the story of Toji Fushiguro, Gojo took responsibility and revealed his hidden prowess, Hollow Technique Purple. Finally, ending the reign of terror of the Sorcerer Killer, Gojo has saved the life of numerous Sorcerers.
